At the University of Maryland Medical Center, women who suffer from pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, have access to the latest treatments, offered by a team of highly skilled physicians.

Special Interests: Urodynamics, Incontinence, Female Urology, Bladder Reconstruction

Dr. Toby Chai is a urologic surgeon providing treatments for bladder disorders, including incontinence, voiding dysfunction and bladder cancer. He is a professor of surgery in the Division of Urology.

Dr. Harry Johnson, a specialist in incontinence and pelvic health, is director of the Division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstruction. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and he has been named as a Baltimore Magazine TOP DOC. He also serves as associate vice chair and associate professor, Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences.

Dr. Leslie Rickey, an assistant professor of surgery, is board certified in urology and has a dual appointment in obstetrics and gynecology. Fellowship-trained in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Rickey specializes in caring for women with incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and other pelvic floor disorders.

Nurse Practitioner, Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences: Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstruction

Special Interests: Gynecologic Evaluation, Osteoporosis Screening, Menopause, Incontinence

Dottie Atkins is a women's health nurse practitioner in the department of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences. She is a frequent lecturer on women's health topics such as osteoporosis, and has been recognized for educational Web sites developed for the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program at University of Maryland School of Nursing. She has participated in research studies on irritable bowel disease and pregnancy and fetal heart rate interpretation.
